Life training that doesn't pay

For however long they've been around, I've seen those Army commercials for the Reserve. I remember there was talk with Thomas and what not ... and Khoa tried for the real Army.
Perhaps it's because I've seen what I'd do on the job. Perhaps it's because Katie's gone and I'm not in my comfort zone any longer. Or maybe it's because I can't sleep well. But I find myself thinking, "What kind of training would I get, anyway? It couldn't help me get a job at a newspaper, could it?" Katie talks about her and me going back to school, sort of. It's talked about in some level of seriousness ... on her end.
I can't even pay bills. Contribute to rent. Buy food. Let alone afford my credit card and pay for Yukari. I just want some bloody stability, y'know? But I want it from my own hands.
That's not very efficient, is it. I can understand why commercials like that dude with the question marks suit actually get aired. Desparation, neh?
On another note, I fucking hate the early dubs many different anime suffered.
